Drought Stricken Trees need Water!

Seeing all of the trees dying in the area from the drought saddens me. Please do your part and water your trees to prevent them from dying. Hopefully we will get some reprieve. Everyone should do a rain dance! Here is a good article on how to water your trees.

Inks Lake Weekend Trip

We just got back from a great trip to one of our favorite spots, Inks Lake. It is only 1-1.5 hours from Austin and is surrounded by hills and granite boulders. The lake is constant level and never crowded. They have neat little Air conditioned cabins for $55 a night right on the water. Bring you water toys and enjoy. Be sure to make reservations well in advance, as they book up. They also have great hiking in the fall and spring months. Check it out!

Fun Day Trips- Wimberley TX

My family has long enjoyed Wimberley TX for it's small town feel, rivers, shopping and slower pace!
On a recent trip to Wimberley we visited Blue Hole. Blue Hole is spring fed and situated on Cypress Creek. It is surrounded by towering Cypress trees, cool fresh water and great rope swings for the kids. It has recently been improved with nice restrooms, landscaping, paths, a wonderful grass lawn for picnicing and hiking trails. With all the hot weather we are having it is a great place to visit and stay cool!
